Lucchese family members including high ranking members Joseph DiNapoli and Matthew Madonna were charged in a bribery and racketeering scheme inside the department of buildings. Charged were Lucchese crime family members and the mob-tied building inspectors, with soliciting bribes to overlook violations or speed up permits. Lucchese members were also charged with gambling, loansharking, gun trafficking and extortion.
