The reported number 2 leader in the Cosa Nostra Sicilian Mafia has been arrested. Gianni Nicchi climbed to the high ranks of the Palermo based Organized Crime family after the capture of Mafia Boss Salvatore Lo Piccolo. Nicchi has been on the run since 2006 after being convicted of extortion and getting an 18 year prison sentence.
